We in Hungary consider the support of the young generation important, since they are our future. In this spirit, it is our great pleasure to support and be part of the „Salam” International Youth Film Festival. I am sure that the event will serve its purpose and gives inspiration to its participants.

I am very glad that the moment we have been waiting for so many years, has come and, finally we are pleased to welcome Salam International Youth Film Festival's participants and guests in Baku.
I am convinced that the Festival will not only create opportunities for communication and friendship among adolescents from different countries, but will also increase their knowledge of filmmaking and practical skills, as well as discover new talents.
During the festival, about 300 young people from 9 countries will discuss films, share new ideas and simply get acquainted with different lifestyles that will lead to a sense of tolerance, humanism and kindness in our young people.
I would like to thank the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our sponsors, PASHA Holding LLC, Debet Uniform LLC and other organizations and people who support us.
At the same time, I would like to highlight the efforts of the “Salam” team and volunteers in the process of organizing the Festival.
I want to say “Welcome!” to each of you and I hope that every participant will feel here like at home and enjoy all what will happen in these 4 days.
This year, Salam International Youth Film Festival is being held in Azerbaijan for the first time. The festival team has a great responsibility, and every member of our team feels it. The festival program, which includes about 300 young people from 9 countries, includes feature films, short film screenings, extraordinary interactive workshops, interesting excursions and a meeting with young movie stars. We want our festival be a free creative platform where our young people can share their ideas, feelings and different thoughts through the movie screening. I believe that the work of our team and volunteers will be productive and young people will find new friends and unforgettable experiences at our festival.

Every teenager participating in Salam International Youth Film Festival has a unique talent. We did not choose participants according to their talents: every teenager can participate in our festival. But during the preparatory phase, the sense of interest in the children 's eyes and their conversations with them at the school reassured us that our young people have a lot of brilliant abilities. In my opinion, the most important talent is the ability to communicate. We hope that our festival will further enhance our communication skills. The participation of young people from Italy, Germany, Russia, India, Ukraine, Turkey, Georgia, Pakistan, and Macedonia contributes to this.
I am sure that these 4 days will be very interesting.
